The 6th Annual Spring Luncheon was our most successful event, yet. With over 560 guests in attendance, a record $390,000 was raised! Arlyn Gardner and her dedicated luncheon committee put together an outstanding program, hosted by our longstanding emcee and special recognition awardee, WNBC News anchor Perri Peltz. Bottomless Closet clients told our story in their own words, beautifully presented in a video produced through the generous support of Nickelodeon. Two clients featured in the video, Annie Harris and Sandra Landsman, helped present awards to our Golden Hanger honorees, Stacy Morrison and Marcy Syms, both of whom eloquently stated their connection with our work and their support of our mission. New York City Councilmember, Inez Dickens expressed the City’s appreciation for the work we do while featured speaker, Lisa Belkin, entertained with her personal lessons learned that, in fact, “clothes matter.” Incoming Board President, Barbara Madsen Smith gave special thanks to outgoing President and new Board Chairman, Sheila Lambert. Sheila’s tireless efforts and commitment to connecting women and work have helped make Bottomless Closet the successful organization it is today. Additional acknowledgment was made to all of the Bottomless Closet volunteers, on whom we depend to support clients, meet our mission and make our organization thrive. Thank you to all who helped make this our best luncheon ever!
