Difficult Conversations
As part of our on-going Volunteer Continuing Education series, we are pleased to offer the latest addition: “Difficult Conversations.” In these sessions, we will be exploring those topics which are often difficult to address with your client and the best ways to engage your client on the subject. The format will be an open discussion so come with your questions ready.

New York City’s New Dirty Words: Bed Bugs…
You can’t open a newspaper or turn on the TV these days without hearing about the bed bug epidemic torturing New Yorkers! To help us do our part to prevent any problems, please follow these precautions while sorting clothing:

· Be aware of stains that seem unusual. These could be telltale blood spots left by feeding bedbugs.

· Pay particular attention to the inside seams, looking for signs of sticky white eggs, shed skins and the bugs themselves.

Unfortunately, at this time there is no confirmed method of prevention. Hopefully, with your support and patience we will get through this without incident.
