Did you know?
We have heard from some daytime volunteers who are interested in learning more about the groups who refer clients to Bottomless Closet. Below is the first in a series of short write ups on some of our most important referral partners.
Arbor Education &Training (E&T) is Bottomless Closet’s leading referral partner, having referred 28% of all clients that came to Bottomless Closet for a Pre-Interview appointment in 2009. Arbor E&T is also a leading provider of workforce development services nationwide. With nearly 3,000 employees, Arbor E&T operates career centers in 20 states. Eight New York City locations refer clients to Bottomless Closet. Many of the clients that receive job training and placement through Arbor E&T are sent there from the Human Resources Administration. A typical Career Developer that refers clients to Bottomless Closet has a caseload of about 200 clients. As an Arbor E&T staff member recently commented “I have about 10 minutes to spend with each client that needs to get a job. BC’s services are critical to helping me do just that.” The individualized attention that our clients from Arbor E&T receive at Bottomless Closet is vital to these clients’ job search experience.
