‘Real Women on the Runway’ Bottomless Closet’s first official fashion show, ‘Real Women on the Runway,’ was a huge hit! The evening was attended by over 225 people, most of whom were learning about us for the first time. Thanks to the work of our dedicated volunteers and the beauty of our clients, we were able to raise over $14,000! Bottomless Closet Summer Closings Bottomless Closet will be closed in observance of the following national holidays: Fourth of July – Monday, July 4 Labor Day – Monday, September 5 If you volunteer on Mondays and would like to volunteer on a different day on either of those weeks please let me know.

Financial Mentors Bottomless Closet is seeking volunteers willing to serve as financial mentors. Mentors will support and encourage a candidate to achieve her financial goals, develop a budget and/or review her credit score. You will not be asked to administer financial or investing advice, but should have a basic knowledge of the following topics: • checking/savings accounts • simple budgeting • credit reports/FICO scores • debt management/credit card debt management Volunteer mentors will be asked to attend a training session as well as financial workshops/mentoring events held at Bottomless Closet (3-4 annually) at a minimum. Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities Evening Workshop Support, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. During our evening workshops, we are in need of volunteers to handle some light administrative tasks and close up shop at the end of the night. There will be a staff member on hand to answer your questions and provide any guidance you might need. Wednesday, June 22 – Resume 101 Wednesday, June 29 – Online Resume Lab Wednesday, July 6 – Online Job Search Evening Client Appointments, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Evening opportunities are available every Tuesday. Sign up to dress clients who have recently been hired, or work on projects in the inventory room/boutique.
